I read this book after spending a year deployed to Afghanistan. This book is so amazingly realistic when it comes to how their culture is. I was in awe at this book. I hardly put it down it interested me so much. I hated when I got tired cause that meant it was time to stop. It was like reading a movie. Have you read it and what do you think?

I adored the book, I had to read it for a college English class, and then chose to do a research paper about the significance of the kite in the Afghanistan culture, versus the kite in the United States.
The author wrote another book, and I can't remember the title, but I am going to look for it, as I'm sure that it will be just as good.

The other book is called 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' which is also an amazing book by this author. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
