mac or vista?

i want to hear everyone's opinion regarding windows vista or mac leopard. i am considering to buy a new laptop and i want a faster operating system and easy to use where i can be productive with it.

I like Vista than Mac just because of its performance and look also...

do you have both operating system that you can just say that vista is better than mac in terms of performance and looks?

I think it depends on what applications you are running...Most applications are made for Windows than for Macs..
While Vista may not be as good as it was said to be, the service pack 1 is coming out soon...It would be recommended to get Vista...and if you're not happy with it, you can still purchase WinXP OS as an alternative..

i know that most applications are written for vista because it has been the dominant os ever since microsoft started selling windows but still i want to know if you can do more things by using mac and its operating system leopard.

I just don't like Macs thanks to the first computer I ever owned was an Apple II way back in the day.
I'm guessing when I say Vista and Leopard have their own special set of problems you just hear more about Vistas because more people own PCs than they do Macs.
If I were making this decision I would buy the one with Vista.

that was an old mac your talking about though. i want to know if the new mac book pro is great as they say. i want to buy a mac book pro and see how it is.

I haven't heard anything good about Vista at all! As far as operating systems go, I believe that Leopard is far superior. However, as far as laptops go, everyone I know with a Mac has to constantly take theirs in for repairs. Plus, Mac laptops tend to be a lot more expensive than PCs. So it's a trade off.
