I am a Vet and I work on a Stud Farm where we breed Throughbreds. This gives me an opportunity to interact with horses of various ages right from new born foal to adult matured Stallion. I practically handle more than fifty horses per day on minimum basisfor tretaing them or to examine them ! While approaching ahorseI look into the eyes of the horse one time and look at thebody language of the horse and I can understand what is the mood of horse! Usualy the horses are very co operative and friendly but some times they dont like human intervention in their daily activities, which they express in the form of aggression by pressing the ear and making the faces! This is the signal one must understand and try not to disturb the horse if its not needed desperately to do so ! I can feel the love and affection expressed by the horses which is expressed in their eyes and they can be very lovable creatures and I adore these animals for their innocent love which thy reciprocate! Are you a horse lover? Can you communicate with your horse? Your response will be highly appreciated ! Thanks!

I consider myself as well as being told by many ppl that I am an empath. I can feel wat others are feeling very eaily but especially with animals, I allow myself to feel more with animals than humans I guess becuase often they are misunderstood and not given the respect that they too have feeling. But in doing so I have had times that were so unbearableand I have lost control and break down and cry it becomes emotionaly draining and i find i need to distant myself from all so that I can regroup. I know it sounds a lil scifi but hearing your story tells me that you can relate at some level. Btw i do animal rescues this is why i experience the pain n fear. But also rewarded with the feeling of gratitude n love that is if they are lucky enough to have survived. TY

I am a horse lover and I own my own and board a couple as well. They are a great animal and I do have a bond with mine. I do not feel that they are capable of love per say but they do show affection and enjoy your company especially when you are giving them a good massage-grooming. One thing that they have done for me is teach me to be more patient. I do not always spend as much time with them as I would like to what with working, picking up after teenagers and daily household chores ect. However whenever I am down I just have to go out and visit them and I feel better. It is just nice to go out to my barn and hang out, I enjoy the quiet and find it relaxing, even while doing chores. Ah, and riding(when I can fit it in) is a good way to spend an afternoon. I was given a little plaque for my birthday a few years ago...it says "In riding a horse we borrow FREEDOM."

It isn't a good idea to stare at horses, they think you are being aggressive and that is probably why you get a negative reaction. You can easily learn the body language of horses, altho I never needed to, I seem to have been born with the ability and can approach aggressive horeses with no problem.
