My dad is back from hospital but I am very much worried about biopsy report:(

As many of you know my dad was hospitalised last monday. Now the endoscopy jhas been taken. they found ulcers in food pipe and also a tumour. The biopsy has been taken.
They have released him this friday from hospital. But the doc ha stold on 22nd, to take the report and consult him.
I am very very tensed and worried. I just don't know what is going to happen. Pls continue your prayer that it turns out to be bening and we are again the same as we (me,dad and mom ) used to be. I really feel sorry for him and the face of my mom who have no clue. hope you all understand the situation.
Sometime i think how alone I can manage the whole situation, a mere ypoung woman?

From your discussions and responses... i can see that you are a very strong woman... so i believe you can face anything... do not worry... everything has a purpose in life... so whatever the result of your father's biopsy is... the important thing is to be strong for your family... especially for your father... your father will always be in my prayers...

Hello subha12, Doctors advice for a biopsy in almost every
ulcer and tumour cases of abdomen,also biopsy is not done just for the diagnosis of the disease which you have fear in your mind.So you dont need to have any clue just leave it to doctors,keep your own head cool and follow the advices of
doctors and your dad will be absolutely fine within few weeks.Thanks.

I am sure things will be okay. I know, I cannot make your anxiety less but you gotta be friend to be the strength of your mother and father as well. I am sure the gastroenterologist treating your dad is much competent and you need not worry about the biopsy report.

I do understand your concerns, as I have been there myself.
It happened that my father ended up with esophageal cancer - because he had leukemia as well they could not do the normal method of chemo and radiation - so they removed most of his esophagus (food pipe) and sewed his stomach up to his sternum area. IT was very scary to all of us.
in the meantime - try best to not pre worry - find out the results first.

Don't be tensed. The doctors will tell how to take care of his health so that ulcer get's reduced quickly n some other diet controls. So you just go to the Doc and listen to them with a cool head. You write down what you wanna ask the doc. At that very time you may forget some. You should take some one with you who can ask doc more about your dad's health n support you.
