Who is your favorite "Harry Potter" character? And why?

Severus Snape is my favorite. I always knew he was secretly good. He likes to pretend to be so bad and mean but he made the right choice in the end. He is so misunderstood too, I feel sorry for him.

my preferred character is Silente. He's the magician ideal, he's the strongest and the more powerful magician of the movie. in the last episode the duel with voldemor is spectacular.

I have a lot of favorite characters in the Harry Potter Series... here is the list... but this is in no particular order... 1. Hagrid... he is so gullible yet intelligent... 2. Dobby... ever loyal and lovable friend... 3. Ron... the best friend everybody wants to have... 4. Professor MacGonnagal... the ideal teacher... strict but fair in every way... 5. Hermione... i see myself in her when i was still in school... although i think she is a lot more intelligent than me...

I love Dumbledore and Hermione for the same reasons you stated plus, both were brilliant :-). Ron, Fred and George were really funny. I loved the way Ginny understood Harry and in fact the whole Weasley family. Mc.Gonagall, Prof. Flitwick and Lupin were the best of teachers. I would love to be in their class. ;-) As for Severus Snape, although he was a brave man and risked his life for his love, I don't think he changed his ways completely. He was partial to his House, and did not even think of the other students when it came to being a fair teacher. But I must admit that he was the best thought out 'character' if you think of the Harry Potter series as a book with always some mystery shrouding him!!

I've never liked Harry much, I was always really interested in the other characters. In ordere of preference I'd say: Lupin: I though he was really cool and of all the characters I'd have loved to have met him most. the Weasleys: they were an amazing family. I loved all of them, even Percy and wished they were my family :D Luna: Was just awesome and cool. I also liked Dumbledore and Snape.

i like ron the best. i never know that friendshi could be so strong and also cute. i think ron just give us a wonderful example of friendship and love. also, his love story is so funny and cute

Hagrid, hands down. Because he is so much like me. He big and clumsy. He doesn't always have the flair other people have, loves animals, was a bit shy with women, but you can always count on him. That is me, only I think I'm a little smarter.

What a great question. I started reading J.K. Rowling from the very beginning. As did my husband and our son. We would wait until the other had finished reading the newest edition then have such fun discussing all the details. I agree with so many of the previous posts here about Snape. I felt in my heart all along that if Dumbledore trusted him, then he must truly be good. I can't sya that he was my favorite though. My favorite was Dobby. Dobby who amoung all other house elves made the leap to leave his masters. He saw right from wrong, left those horrible Malfoys and did what his heart called him to do. He was so brave doing what no other house elf had ever done. And boy was he funny. Each time he woud talk bad about Lucious or Draco, slamming himself against the nearest wall

hi............i personally like snape a lot.........i just admire the love he had towards Lily potter......it was so true and so sincere that i dont hav words to explain it.......secondly i like hagrid ........he is such a big giant but he is so loving and even though he towers over all the other wizards he can never even imagine of hurting anyone..........and moreover i lke the compassion he hav towards animals......truly admiring......

I like the character of Weasley's Twin George & Fred.. They're both funny and CooL... It seems they know everything inside the Hogwarts since they're consider themselves as school violators... their unique way, but very helpful one... They discovered all the secret passage inside the campus in oder to help Harry in his activities..

i Love hErmione.. i think she's another hero in this book beside harry,,for me harry is nothing without her,as we know that there are so much times she saved harry's life. i feel bothered when people say she must be with ron just to make her have more sense of humor. n0pe! i Love hermione character the way she is, loyal, smart, brave, and all about her.^^

Lord Voldemort ! a.k.a Tom Riddle Jr. I admire his determination and endless attempts to reign the world. And of course I ultimately love his total confident in the power of himself! When other wizards think it cannot be done, hedid it. When other wizards dont dare to do it, he did it.. When no one stands for him, he stands for himself.. When he has nothing, he seek for everything.. What a great character! Bravo Rowling for her intelligence in making such an exotic character.

I like the entire Weasley family, especially Ron. He's such a loveable guy. Hermione Granger is my favorite, too. I always admired her loyalty to Harry.
