Did you watch the Bud shootout last nite???? I did... and my prediction seems to be coming true!! I was tickled pink when JR won last nite. (Even though I'm a true blue Gordon fan!) I was surprised that the 20 actually placed 2nd. (Could have been luck... that's the best finish for a Toyota since they started.) My mom wasn't going to watch. She's been irritated that JR signed with HMS, and I've been telling her since he broke the news he would be going over "to the enemy" (In earnhardt fans eyes).... I knew that all he needed was a team owner that would treat his drivers equally, but the best motors in ALL of his cars, not just his favorites. I called my mom when JR got up in the lead with Jeff pushing him, and she was, "Gordon is helping him, I can't believe Gordon is helping him!" AT the end of the race, when JR, Jeff and Jimmy were lined up, and they were trying to get past the 20, And JR said, "Let me know when Jeff is clear of him (meaning the 20), so we can drop down to the bottom of the track if we need to"... My mom said, "They're really working together".... It was a fun nite last nite..... When JR won, I called mom back,, she was crying!! She was just so happy JR finally got a win! I don't get quite that excited about it, but I sure was happy for him! And for all the JR fans that hate Gordon, give a guy a break already..... I'm betting you'll see he's not such a bad guy!!!
