So it is -40C outside right now and it is so freezing cold out who wants to go outside. Not me. But I had no choice. I had to go get smokes because I only have 4 left and I won't have any way of going to get more tomorrow because I don't have a vehicle except the one my hubby takes to work. Well, would he go out and get some, no way. He has none left either but he thinks he can just smoke mine. Then he can get himself some more tomorrow since he will have the truck but then I won't have any for me. So I go start the truck and let it run for about 15 minutes to warm up and I go drive to the store to get some. What a pain. I wish I could just quit and then I wouldn't have to worry about it. But no, I go out in the freezing cold to get some.
So to what lengths have you gone to, to get a pack of smokes? Would you go out in the freezing cold to get a pack, or I am the only dummy to do this? Please share your story.

I think the UK government were extremely crafty in bringing in the NO smoking ban in July last year because it was the height of summer, now people are starting to moan big time because they are having to go outside pubs, clubs and workplaces to smoke and it's freezing cold. Had the government brought the ban in Winter there would have been a public outcry, talk about cheeky, but no one thinks of that at the time, how it will affect them come Winter. I am not a smoker but if I was there is no way I'd brave the cold to get some I would rather go without.

I don't smoke but my husband is trying to quit. He used to smoke a pack a day, now a pack for 3 days, but yes he smokes outside no matter how cold then comes back in shaking hahah
I guess until you get over the addiction you'll keep doing that

This is the least of your worries from smoking... If you've tried to quit in the past, keep trying.

Yes, I have even walked in horrible weather to get smokes. it is such a bad addiction. I quit for a long time and it did wonders for my budget but it is so easy to fall back into ...too easy. I got stressed just reading your story...I have had days like that...stuck at home and limited butts....makes you smoke more. it is not good to go without just becuz of circumstances. Your hubby should stock you up before he leaves.

Well it's winter, I really have to expect to go out in the cold to get them. It's not very far in my case about a 3 minute walk. What gets me the most is at work. I have to smoke outside. Even if I'm dressed to be out there it's definitely more annoying than in warm weather. I try to smoke under the large fan coming from the building kitchen. It's warm plus it usually smells really good;)
