Twice recently I've been out in public and had a little embarrassing moment. Was at a casino the first time it happened and at work the second time when a piece of fabric softener fell out of the bottom of my bluejeans. All I could do was laugh and say I brought the softener with me on purpose in case I needed to blow my nose..lol Have you had this happen to you? It's no wonder all the other clothes were full of static electricity but my jeans were fine.

-giggling- That's happened to me often enough, carolbee. 'I ran out of perfume.' is what I say whenever a dryer sheet falls out of my clothes. Gets ppl laughing every time. lol

This has happened to me a couple of times, but it has been quite a while. I have started to use liquid fabric softener the last few years. But I do recall having this happen to me on occasion. Although, I wasn't embarrassed, I guess I thought it was as funny as everyone else. :)

Could have been the infamous toilet tissue hanging out there, which is always bad haha.. What was clinging to me wasn't fabric softener sheets and was probably due to LACK of fabric softener in the wash I imagine. I had a pair of underwear stuck inside a sweatshirt I was wearing. My daughter's little thong so I didn't notice it at the time I pulled the shirt on. Something just didn't feel right when I leaned on the back of the car seat getting ready to drive. I'm glad I found it that soon!

haha... well this has never happened to me, but I have seen it happen to someone else. It has however happened with my three year old. We were at the mall one time and he pulled one out of his sleeve and said mommy whats this? I about fell over laughing. It was probably a lot funnier to me than anyone else but totally worth the laugh.

Fortunately I have never had a piece of fabric softner sheet fall out of my clothes in public. However, if I did, I would do something similar to what you did, make a light joke of it! I would probably say something like, "Guess I win the prize, I found the hidden dryer sheet!" Now if I had a thong to fall out of my clothing, like the poster above potentially could have had, that would mortify me!!!

I agree. Something very personal falling from my pant leg might make people wonder what I'd been doing..lol It would have been funny but also even more embarrassing. It was stuck for awhile before it fell. Guess it was right behind me all over the casino and at work and nobody said a word. However saw it knows my jeans were clean. Thanks for responding.

I was laughing as I read this. I'll bet when you took the cloths out of the dryer after that you made sure the fabric softer sheet was gone. You know what they say laugh and the world laughs with you. lol. I would not have got embarrassed. I think everyone has had something happed to them that embarrassed them. Thanks for sharing.

I recently did see an older woman with toilet paper hanging out of the back of her pants. I kept my mouth shut because I knew she was with people and didn't want to totally embarrass her. It was funny and didn't laugh until she was out of sight. Thanks for responding.

I have a lot of such things in my life. So, I work up the strategy- not to bother about trivia. Take care of yourself and be happy!
