I am actually from the Dominican Republic but was raised here in the U.S. I used to love dancing to spanish songs when I was small but then I guess I grew up and started liking music from here. Like hip pop and rock and other genres. But now there are a few spanish artists that make me love spanish music. I love my culture and everything but I've always loved hip hop. there are many spanish artists now that are really good and just make me love them.

I listen to a lot of songs in Spanish. There's lots of great songs, and I enjoy them even if I don't fully understand all the words. My son-in-law is from Mexico, so if I really want to know what the song is saying, I ask him and he translates it for me. I love the latino beat in a lot of the songs, and despite the fact I may not know what all of the words mean, I still enjoy listening. I told my s-i-l that I love when he calls his family or friends back home, he talks 90 miles an hour, and I haven't a clue what he's talking about. Spanish is a beautiful language, and it comes through in their songs and music.
