I just wanted to let everyone know there is a new auction site similar to ebay.

It's called pink doodle. That's a dot com too. They are Europe based, but allow US members. I was a friend of their's on myspace while they were still building the site. They just opened up. I haven't listed anything yet, but I plan on it. I really want to get completely away from ebay. So everyone check it out and let me know what you think.

I guess that it will take some time to build up a following. There's not much on there currently - unless you want art or some girl's mini dress - not my size and what with my hairy legs etc. I think that whatever people say about EBay, they have got a huge advantage over virtually every other auction site because they got their first (well they didn't but they got big first) and everyone has heard of them. I suspect that the occasional seller will always gravitate towards what they have heard about the most. However, it will be interesting from the European perspective to see whether they make any serious inroads into EBay.

Hi. I'm Betty, I'm new here and really don't know what I'm doing. I have sold on Ebay, and mainly just buy on there. What were your problems with Ebay? The fees? Paypal? Ppl not paying? Also, I'm on myspace, betaffi, feel free to add me. Is this message only going to you? Or did I just send out my username to everyone? lol Told ya I was new. I also am wondering what this site is all about? I like how you can choose who to talk to and all the interests, that part was fun. How do you make money though? Do you have to be the first to send a topic, or does responding also count? Any help is appreciated. B :)

For us Aussies, there's one I started called OZeBids, at www.ozebids.com Got sick of Ebay with their high fees. I'm amazed at how people are so willing to put up with such extortion. But hopefully things will change, for the better - Ebay needs competition to stop it monopolizing.

I have to agree. Ebay is getting away with way too much.
