Poverty among British and American Seniors.

February 11, 2008 1:15pm CST
There are 1 in 5 British Seniors living below the poverty line on a very inadaquate pension from the state. One question, should this kind of treatment be tolerated in our "civilised countries" ?

Hello, may I ask what country you are in ? People tolerate everything in the UK where I write from. Apathy is the British disease.

Hello there, for this type of issue should be raised the alarm to the government, who has to do something for his people. It is sad to know and see the citizens’ struggle from the poverty; especially Britain and America are the top wealth counties in the world.

No. A big no. Poverty is not a virtue. We should with all our available resources try to do away poverty.
