Do you end up marking it best response to be done with it? Or do you leav it hoping eventually to get more reponses?

This is the way my twisted mind works.....I love word games ( my girlfriend can say the Alphabet backwards in less than 6 seconds , she's really looney-tunes ) It only takes 1 second for a word , or Image to jump off the page for me. And ( with no thought put to it ) I already know it's the right word , but I don't know how ....I know it. Maybe Ol' looney-tunes over there can explain it to me) what do ya say Loonie ? I Am .....my One true love. A.

What? This isn't even relevant to the topic.

I don't think I've had a discussion to date that got only one response, but if I did I would wait to see if there was more responses. I was just commenting to someone yesterday that I have a hard time marking best responses, because for one thing I get so many good responses and secondly I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

You do particularly well with your conversations. That is why. I've noticed you tend to select some good questions which people are easily able to respond to. I tend to think more about current events, like a satellite falling out of the sky. People tend to respond less to that.. or politics.

I usually wait until a discussion I have started has at least 10 responses to it before I choose a Best Response as I always want to give people a chance to respond to my discussions a little before choosing someone. Because how many times do you choose a Best Response to go in later and wish you could rechoose someone. I know there are others here who pick right away, but this is me, and I do not always do what is the norm.

It depends on how long the discussion has been open. If it has been a month or more, it might be better to mark it as a best response. After that long, it is mostly buried under the more recent discussions. Otherwise, you could PM your friends and ask them to comment on your discussion, bringing it up to the top of the list and getting more responses.

I am marking it as the best, because I don't want any discussion to be unresolved and sit on my shoulder. But I would wait at least 5 days before I would do it...

If it's a slow discussion, mark it as best response and move on. You get a sense of closure that way, I think.

I leave my discussions up until I get at least 10 responses. Sometimes I get a best response right away but that doesn't stop other users from commenting me but I always try as hard as I can to get at least 10 comments before I pick which one is best.
