selling something or applying for a job? check your spelling!

i was on a free site (like craiglist) and there were several people on there listed as looking for jobs. I found several spelling mistakes in these listings. Do you think people rely too much on a spell checker? have people gotten lazy? i know my hubby is lazy in that area and i always have to proof anything he types!
