what do you like about facebook? how would you describe facebook?

there are a lot of discussions in regards to facebook vs myspace, but what makes facebook so special? if you had to describe it to a friend who had never been on it but wanted to learn more about it...what would you say? i had to do just that to a co-worker last week. he had heard of facebook, but had never been on.
what do you like about facebook? i like some of the applications. i love the causes that it supports and i love the fact that i can connect with friends and family members that don't live close to me!

Facebook is similar to Myspace, but unlike Myspace, Facebook is designed for keeping in touch with people you know in real life, as opposed to discovering new "friends". Facebook is much stricter than Myspace, therfore being more secure, safer, and with lots of privacy options.
I preffer Facebook. It's good for keeping in touch with people that you know from school but don't have the time to talk with in real life.
But if you're online to meet people, Myspace would be your prime choice.
Try both of them. Facebook primarily is for High School and College students, if you're older you will probably like Myspace more.

I wouldn`t say much myself as I barely ever go on it , when I do it gives me problems thats why I don`t bother with it much it is constantly freezing up my computer so why bother with it ...
