I need to delete a webpage. I do not own the website at all, but the webpage was created for me. here is my problem. It has affected my paypal account. I can no longer do business, well I can do stuff with it but I can not send or receive money and it is killing me.
I have tried everything I can to get this webpage deleted. I have contacted the admin and all who are involved with them, about 3 of them no longer exist, and the guy although he is still the owner, I have no way to get a hold of him....I have called, faxed, left messages, I have even contacted his registrar and requested for them to just delete or put the page off for a temp status but they can not do it. I told them why I needed it deleted and they are investigating but overall I do not think they can help me.
Anyone else? I have tried to change the html but obviously I am not able to do that, can someoen help me? I need to redirect it? Can I redirect the page??

The only way to permanently resolve your problem is through the owner of the website. If you don't know how to reach this person, try this. Copy and paste the folowoing link into the address bar on your web browser:
whois.godaddy.com
When the page opens, type in the url for the site where your page is located, and you will be given all the current contact information for the owner of the site. I hope this information is of help to you.

Why don't you hire a good hacker for this job. get into this website's FTP account and delete/modify that page without touching anything else. :) it's a pretty good idea.

the best way it is contact with admin of the website, if you really own the information in these pages you have the right to delete as you want according to the related copyright reclarition. If not, you can accuse them. Anyway, princinplely you can not delete aweb page by you own. Good luck

Yeah I have done that, and I did that with the registrar too , but so far, nothing has been done and not sure that it will ever be done. I think I am going to have to plead with Paypal to let me close my account as I am not going to ever get this page deleted on my own and I know that they will not delete it (The admin will not because he is not responding at all)

Whoever is the one who created the page and posted it to the host server is the only one who can delete it - unless you have the password for the host account. If this is hurting your business then you may need to hire an attorney who will legally go after them to delete the page.
The alternative is to open a new Paypal account and close the old one.

Paypal will not let me do that, Paypal will not let me close the account currently and they will not let me reopen with this page still up on the internet. I am just going to find an alternative and use that instead. I am going to contact Paypal and ask if I can just close out my account and get my money and be done. This SUCKS

Since you can't reach the person who actually owns the page, you're out of luck as far as changing the page. Because unless you can get the FTP info for the server the page is on, you can't upload or save a changed page to replace the current one.
My advice is to contact Paypal and see what they can do on their end to cutoff the problem that way. Being we don't know the nature of the problem, I don't know if this advice is even accurate. But that's what I would try.
BTW are you comfortable with posting or messaging the link to the page so we can check it out? Maybe, just maybe there's hope? -Tink

I have contacted Paypal, They say they can not do anything. I am going to see if they can BLOCK their information from this webpage but I think it is the same situation as I am in, they do not own the webpage they do not own the website so therefore they can not change it either.
Thanks for your help
