Would you do the same?

Have you read the book? If not, try it. Its a short read anyway but really interesting for some readers. So, in case you got into such a situation and for survival, would you go cannibal like the main character in the novel?

I've never read the book but I have thought about this question many times after hearing a plane went down on some snow covered mountain and the survivors had to eat human flesh to survive. I honestly think I would do it if it were a situation like I described above. I would do anything I had to do to stay alive as long as I possibly could because I have 4 kids I would have to get back to home to. But if it were like an end of the world thing and there were only a handful of people left on the planet then just kill me. I would never want to be one of the last ones left.

The one you mentioned sounds like the film "Alive" a group of Rugby players who got stranded at the Andes Mountains when their plane crashed.

Please, tell us the name of the book. Please, tell us who wrote it. I do not think that I could ever go cannibal.

The title of the book I mentioned is "Fires on the Plain" by Ooka Shohei. Published in 1951. It was also turned into a film. The other film, "Alive" which seems to be mentioned by the first response, also accounts on survival and resorts to cannibalism.. but, just to survive..
