I don't understand why you want to do that. While I don't agree with the teachings of Scientology, those that do have the right to follow, practice & worship how they see fit. In the US the seperation of church & state is part of the Constitution, it's not the government's job to determine the merit of a religion or the rightness of it. As an individual I feel you do have the right to say you think that church is bogus, stage protests, try to open the eyes of the practitioners etc, but not to ask the government to do something about it.
If you wanted to worship the "Holy Lima Bean", a
s your friend or family, maybe I should tell you that seems a bit silly but I wouldn't call the police on you. You're an adult, it's your right to believe whatever you like & to donate your money to any cause you see fit.

I believe you are not informed enough about the real dangers of Scientology are you? Scientologists STOLE documents from the United States of America. They are thieves, liars, and full of deceit! We believe it is of our duty to protect the citizens of the world and to inform people .. As well as to do something about Scientology because it is a dangerous, scary cult that must be stopped! That is all.

"I believe you are not informed enough about the real dangers of Scientology are you?"
I'm pretty familiar with their techniques, practices & the concepts their religion is based on.
"Scientologists STOLE documents from the United States of America. They are thieves, liars, and full of deceit!"
The person or people who stole documentation should be prosecuted accordingly. There have been several high profile cases brought against representatives of the Catholic Church. Should we outlaw the Catholic church? Should we kidnap Catholics to 'deprogram' them from believing a virgin gave birth to the son of God? Or should we punish those who commit crimes & leave law-abiding citizens free to make their own choices & mind our business about other's beliefs?
"We believe it is of our duty to protect the citizens of the world and to inform people .."
You can believe whatever you wish, that IS the beauty of our Constitution & way of life. However, I am not interested in living in a "Big Brother" society. Adults should make choices for themselves, they have the right to do so even if everyone else on the planet thinks they're making mistakes. Making mistakes (and living with the consequences) is part of life.
"As well as to do something about Scientology because it is a dangerous, scary cult that must be stopped!"
Again, where does that stop? If we can outlaw 1 religion, we can outlaw any other religion if we have enough support to do so. What do we do with the followers who do not wish to leave their faith? Should we go back to burning witches? Did Hitler have a good idea? Freedom of religion means ALL religions.

Too bad I didn't go for it since I'm not living in the US, but I saw it in the news yesterday and thought it was a pretty cool protest. I would have gone if I had the chance to. So what did you do there at the protest? =)

We had people sign petition to take away the Scientology Tax exmptions. We had sign saying honk if you think scientology should be banned things like that. It was funny though because some scientology guy kept on nagging us about our mask and asked them to take it off. They would of sued us if we did. So all in all it was freaking awsome.

The protest was huge, huge. It was an epic win for anonymous and there is no doubt more to come. I went with a couple of friends to a place there were no others so we were only 3, but we handed out flyers and had a good time and wer gonna do it again on March 15th hopefully with more people. It was fun. It was win.

Unfortunately, I did not happen to go to the strike =/ I really wanted to go! But the nearest place for me was Toronto, Canada and that is about 2 hours away and I don't have my own car or anything. I suppose I could have taken a Greyhound bus but I didn't and that is that! Though I saw some videos of the Toronto one and a montage of one's all over the world on Youtube! It was quite glorious and an EPIC win for Anonymous :D Good work people! I can not wait to be there on March 15th (hopefully anyways!) see ya
