My husband and I ordered in a cord of wood that was supposed to be in yesterday so he could split it. Well it showed up this morning so it fell to me to do. I just finished splitting it and have put up about half the rest will sit in the driveway until my husband gets home tonight or until I can get to it tomorrow. I feel fine now but I know that tomorrow I am going to be one very sore body. Any of you ever done something that you know you were going to pay for the next day (getting drunk doesn't count).

All the time. I'm pretty sorry when it comes to my body, I don't really have to do much with this fibromyalgia to hurt the next day.

My mom has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia as well. She hasn't told me much about it. Is it hereditary? its a lot of inflamation of the joints right ?

its an inflamation in the muscles not joints, just feels like the joints it isn't directly inherited, but probably a tendency toward it is

I can't imagine what you go through every day. A close friend of mine has fibromyalgia and a a former home care client had is as well as lupis and OA and RA. She was a mess and cried all the time. The lupis finally took her from me.

I do that a lot. I'll do something just knowing that the next day I'll probably be so sore that I'll hardly be able to move.

Valerie I bet you do a lot of lifting, I did when I had my clients and with my uncle. I can imagine how sore you are some days. With my ALS client I had constant back pain from all the lifting and moving her.

Yes, I do. Even though Kayla can walk and will go almost anywhere, there are of course the times she'll get stubborn and maybe not want to go where we want or need to go. When that happens she'll just plop herself right down in the floor, and when you try to get her up where she stiffens herself up to keep you from being able to get her up that really hurts the back.

You definately will be feeling those muscles tomorrow! There have been times when I have done a good day's work in the garden and got up the next day with my muscles screaming at me! A good hot shower and a couple of Tylenol helps to ease the pain.

I actually don't feel that bad this morning, my husband put up the last of the wood last night so I don't have to. I did however hurt my stomach where I had the surgery 3 weeks ago. I didn't even think about that while I was doing it, a little bleeding but I should be ok. I had a hot shower last night before bed and then I crashed hard for 8 hours. Next weekend we start on the gardens, we have been in our house a year and didn't do the gardens last year (we cleaned up a little but left the plants) so I could see what was here, this year we are gutting it so I expect to hurt then too. We aren't doing it this weekend because I am taking my husband and kids away, it's our 6 year wedding anniversary and our 10 year as a couple on the 14th.

Your crazy girl. Hand scrubbing carpets, I got rid of my carpets so I don't have that problem and then I borrow my moms carpet cleaner for the rugs and mats. I don't paint either that is my husband and my mother-in-law. I just tell them what color to paint and they do it. I like the hard labor stuff; laying hard wood floors, moving walls. I am a sucker for a hard job and never turn it away. My husband was upset when he got home last night and saw I did the wood because of my surgery. Oh well I got it done with little pain today and that is all that matters.

lol oh yes. A whole whole lot of shoveling in the wintertime, and in the fall a whole whole lot of racking up of leaves! both did me in. And i'm fairly in shape but each time you do something your not used to doing you use muscles that you forgot you had till they hurt the next day! lol. When you wake up take some advil or tylenol! have it ready to take beside your bed with a glass of water!! lol.

Yes the shoveling was horrible. I live on Vancouver Island now but I was in Alberta for 6 years and the shoveling was bad. My neighbor was a boy who liked his toys and he got an ATV with a plow attachment after our 2 year there so I didn't have to shovel much but when I did it was a lot of shoveling. We used to do the whole block because it was all older people except my husband, myself, and the neighbor and his girlfriend with the ATV. The fall was those darn poplars, those things where a pain in the butt, the white fluff the sticky pitch, the leaves, the off spring; I just all around hated those trees all year round and I had 6 on my land.

Hi. addysmum. Yes, I have! Last year while my husband was in the emergency room, I decided to clean my walls. There was so much of dirt on my walls at the bottom of it, and I had to get down on my knees to wipe it all off. Being that I have an Herniated Disc in my back, I was unable to stoop for a long period of time. And later on that day, my lower back was killing me! I was in so much of pain from doing this. I will never do this again. My husband cleaned it for me the next time though.
