Hello ratyz5,
Interesting!
It would depend on my mood! I like the upper cut very much and I also don't like going above chin. I don't like to strike the face; kind'a respect the looks and don't want to make them look ugly! I am not a bleeder either even though that's the easiest way to make someone psychologically defeated! But, a few times, I have failed in controlling the movement so it landed on nose or cheek bone, it wasn't intentional though, trust me!
Hook to liver will also do the job for me or a straight (right)to mid-section (This can actually get very interesting and worth seeing). In fact, mid-section is my favorite point to hit!:-)

Maybe it is not really your fault, te enemy doesn't stand still for starters so a direct hit would either be due to speed or the motion of your opponent being too slow to dodge your strikes ^^
Hook the liver and then do the chin with an upper cut ^_^

LOL shouting the name of the punch?? that is so anime-ish! but i will be doing that while delivering the blow. LOL oh, can it not be a punch? i would like my finishing blow to be a kick. ^__^;; i think my kick would stronger than my punch. LOL and it will not be a frontal kick. i think my strongest final kick would come from the side. like, turning around in air, and my kick would reach the side of the head of the one i'm fighting. ^__^;; don't think i'm war freak and sadistic okay?? LOL

Hehehe, try this name: Lunar Crescent Kick ^_^ sounds cool and still implies the moon you want ^0^ your opponents wouldn't know what hit them until they regain consciousness, luckily in a health facility and not at the spot where you gave your finishing strike ~_~
Off topic once more: Waaaah! The manga is already complete and distributed by some known publishing yet, not yet completely scanlated by fans Y_Y they made changes in the anime, what more on the live movie?! I want to read the manga!!

Hehehe, you even provided a Venus kick image, though her's is a rushing leap kick, I still get what you implied on a mid-air round house to the side of the head or even more dangerous for paralysis, the neck.. It would sure make your opponent lose balance for one thing and if its really that strong as you said it would be, your opponent would temporarily lose their hearing, hwooo! Lose balance as well as slightly lose hearin due to a head shot ^_^ What would you call that final blow then??
By the way, even though its off topic, I really like reading Lovely Complex or the Atsushi Otani and Risa Koizumi you mentioned in one of your posts.. right, you did post something related to what I said.. if not, my apologies ^_^

Hooks are becoming the trademark deadly punches of some pugs today. Maybe I would use a left hook.

Kids fight because they see their Parents fighting, and because no one has taught them anything different. Pro hockey players fight, soccar players fight, pro wrestlers and boxers fight, and any other Jock who thinks its cool to hurt someone smaller than themselves, fight at the drop of a Hat. All these people contribute to this dubious education of our Kids. The world is in this Big mess today because so many think its so proper and so right to fight, Notice how the Big Powers are looking for the Smaller nations to fight, and this, regardless of how many innocents are killed. What the world needs Now is Love Sweet Love!

Urhmm... I think your imposing a different topic here. Not all kids are like that for starters since not all parents are what you mentioned as well as being taught things that are different. Not all people are wild and impulsive when it comes to hurting others, you mentioned sports that don't really have fighting in them unless when players are really frustrated in their game.
None the less, even though I agree with your last comment, we can't deny the existence of its opposite after all. However, hate as it is sometimes equated with the opposite of love, isn't really the motivation of fighting sports like boxing or karate which participants really get hurt in the process, its all competitive and when rivalry comes around, its not with total dislike towards the opponent.

So your moving from sports into another atmosphere like business. And you still agree that there is competition.
Competitive rivalry is everywhere. In the work place, even though your all working in the same place, it doesn't mean that you all think alike. Some are satisfied with their pay while others want to improve and be promoted. Those who want to be promoted consider others who also aspire for improvement as opponents in claiming a higher position in the work force.
Its innate in every individual in improving oneself, that's what common among people, the goal however isn't available for everyone to claim so that's why they compete for it.
You mentioned that collaborative aspect in work which one could consider as a team, don't you think that there are other teams as well that are also cooperating within their members that also compete with other teams?
It simply works that way. Even in nature, to go basic with example, the food chain designates rank among the creatures that get beaten by more higher creatures. Though there is no devouring in the work force, that's how it works.

We teach our kids to compete. Competition is rivalry. Pro Sport teaches kids to be rivals. WE go through life being competitive in school, in love, and in business when we could be cooperating. Cooperation works wonders in Life, and in the workplace, and its more fun than rivalry. All Great projects that advance our civilization are projects accomplished by Co-operation, not rivalry. Fights never break out between Co-operators. Rivals fight and Kill.
Why do we compete when we could be co-operating?

Well, any punch or attack that strikes the head, let alone the face, can get your opponent to faint. It is rather dependent if the opponent is aware of the strike since being unaware raises the chances of making your opponent faint from a strike in the face.
However, the most part that I see being hit that gets the victim t faint is behind the head, not exactly on the face though..
As long as your opponent ends up being unconscious with no fatalities, that good

Hi ratyz5,
The hook to the liver is always a killer even if the opponent is fresh and in good conditions.
Either to the liver or if your a southpaw, look for the ribs.

In my 77 years of life , I have never had any
physical fights.
To answer your question, I would opt for a straight
punch.
I not not be shouting, as a matter of fact I would be scared. Why? the straight choice, I believe it would be most effective if it lands on the nose .

I'd have three punches to choose from.
Either an overhand right to the head, a left hook to the ear, or a left hook to the liver.
And, as a martial artist, I will never ever shout out whatever name I have for a punch. That is just absolutely silly and would make the punch telegraphic, and therefore, the opponent might catch on and defend against it.

A PACMAN punch!! It's actually a combination of those 3 options..LOL..
Do u know Manny Pacquiao from the Philippines? He's called the "Pacman" He's the super feather weight champ and I liked the way ne fought/boxd with his opponents. He's really tough but professional when it comes to all of his matches. I heard he'll have a fight this March. So if I will deliver a punch to that someone (because I dont do boxing), but I hope I know how, hehe for self defense then Ill follow his moves.. hmmm^_^

That orthodox boxer who tried to win the elections?
Yeah, I heard of him. He even even inadvertently makes the day of his matches feel like a holiday since no traffic or even people go out at the streets when his matches are going.. he really does have that left killer.

He's not orthodox. He's southpaw.
He does have a name for that sunday punch. He calls it "Manila Ice".
