headphone problem

hey friends can anyone please tell me how to configure the headphone..
i tried a lot but failed,i mean i cant use the headphone to talk to my net friends,,so guys if i can get a help in this topic..will be very useful to me..

Is it a regular headphone with a green and pink plug? Can you hear anything coming from the speakers or is it just a microphone problem? If it's properly plugged in, check the Sound properties (the sound card drivers if it's installed etc.) by going to StartControl PanelSounds and Audio devices. This is where you can see if the sound device is properly set up. you can check it yourself and configure it. If you need more help please feel free to reply.
