I had a dinner party this past Sunday and found myself wanting to put less effort into the cooking part so I can entertain my guests. So I choose to make a recipe that I originally got from a pampered chef cooking show I attended because it was a quick easy way to make what looked like a gourmet meal.
The recipe was the famouse pampered chef chicken braid- which I tweaked a little by making with ground beef instead. I made the meat that culturally is made for pasteleos (beef patties- Puerto rico) I added fresh garlic, peppers, onions, and very small pieces of potato. I used black pepper, a little salt, sazon, adobo, garlic powder, sofrito and onion powder. It is a VERY easy meal that bakes up in twenty minutes once the prep work of the meat is done. I included a picture of the original chicken braid here- because I forgot to take a picture of the beef one I made..lol. What is your favortie "quick" dinner party meal to make??

Actually I don't have a specific favorite meal to cook for a dinner party because I love to cook different meals for different party I have. I don't mind to take a whole day to prepare for the meals because I love when the guest like my cooking and I am enjoy when the eat them all. Normally what I will cook is a combination of rice, beef, chicken, veggies, fruits salad, dessert/sweet and prepare them a drink - cold and hot.

I too like to prepare for most of the day- when I have notice ahead of time- but this was a last minute thing. Family called the day before and said "We're coming to visit" so I had to whip up something quick and delicious....have you ever created a "quick" dinner party meal? And if so, what wsa it?

That is a true nice, easy and great tasting meal! Do you put anything special or different in your lasagna- I like to experiment a bit ;)

If its a quick dinner party and i have very little time to prepare, i would just buy everything since we have here a restaurant that serves excellent dishes at affordable prices since i don't know any recipe that would take me very little time to finish. If i have to cook everything, i need the whole day to prepare for it which includes the shopping. But i just cook the dinner myself when i really want to impress or please a certain dinner guest. LOL! If not, I just buy them take out.

I would purchase my meal too if I was in a hurry :) but I was just wondering what "quick" meals you would personally make for a dinner party.
