It's interesting that people make jokes about males getting raped. Since, you know, all guys are only out to get laid and if a woman forces herself on a guy, he'll just lay back and enjoy it. I'm female, and yet I'm going to stick up to the guys on this one - that's one big, fat, unfair stereotype. First of all, men can be raped by other men (look at the huge media attention that the NJ guy and the man he allegedly raped is bringing). Second of all, any time somebody does not want to engage in that kind of activity, and resists verbally or physically, then it's rape. I've heard of men being raped by women. It might not be as common, but it does happen. And we probably hear less than a fraction of these instances because of the way people see the idea. Men wouldn't be quick to step up and say they've been raped by a woman.

I think that a man can get raped, in many different ways, they can get raped by other men, which I think is much more psychologically disturbing I think for society when the man is straight or whatever....Men just tend to hide their feelings and that kind of shame moreso than women, Women are told to really be bold and talk about that kind of stuff and bring it to the open, I bet if men were told the same thing there would be more reportings of rape of men than you might think

I definitely agree with you. It's not exactly something we women want to flaunt, but for men it must be ten times harder to come forward and tell someone they were raped. Rape is a terrible terrible thing for anyone...male or female. Thanks for responding.
