Does anyone crochet as a hobby? What do you like to make? Do you make crocheted gifts?

I love to crochet, I have had surgery on my shoulder and it has helped make it heal faster. I like to make small things I just made a fruit and vegetable basket with all the fruit, and made some cupcakes, but now I'am looking for some refrigerator magnets to crochet, my mother had some books on crocheted magnets, but she passed away over 8 years now, and I don't know what happened to them books, they had an owl on them and mouse, snake, turtle, and probably some other magnets on them too. If you have any idea where I can get some patterns for crochet frigies, it would be very appreciated, and also I have made lollipop and dumpling dolls.

I made some oreo cookie magnets for the fridge. Just chain a couple of stitches, form a circle, then dbl crochet all the way around. Make sure your stitches are tightly together, slip stitch at the top. You should have a circle, make it in brown. Make two of the brown ones and one white one, sew them together and glue a magnet, you have an oreo cookie. Super easy to make and cute too.

I love to crochet, i just learned recently! And it has been a lot of fun, I got myself a book of stitches and am already challenging myself! I made myself some fingerless gloves, and my boyfriend and his mother have already asked me to make them some! So I am trying to work on those, as well as trying to make other gifts and work on other ideas I have. It has been awesome. :)

Yes I crochet, I am in the process of making a big afghan for my son and daughter in law. Its going to be a wedding present to them. I have also made all the grandchildren baby afghans when they were born. I need to start making big ones for some of them, they are getting big.

I crochet when I feel like it. Usually while watching TV (I like to keep my hands busy). I'm currently working on a new purse because my last one was too big. (Yes, I made the last one too, but didn't realize how big it really was still I started using it). I have several crocheted handbags made but haven't had any luck selling them. What kinds of things would you look for in a crocheted handbag? -Tink

I'm making potholder gift for Valentine's for a friend and matching coasters. In a purse that's crocheted I like a medium because the bigger it is the more stuff I put in it and it's too heavy. I would maybe buy alined one if I were a customer so things wouldn't fall though. Right now red's my favorite yarn color with sparkle gold or silver accents. Thanks!

I crochet when I get the free time and supplies. Normally I make small things. But I have taken on some bigger projects as well like blankets and such. I love to do it but I am not very good. In college I was in a crocheting club. It was fun. We would get together once a week and work on different projects for charities. Like we made christmas stocking and filled them with candy for underprivilged children. We made beanies for kids with cancer. Blankets for local animal shelters for the animals kennels. I have made some crocheted gifts. I made a matching beanie and blanket for a friend of mine. It was pink and black, her two favorite colors. She really enjoyed them.

I make afghans, baby blankets and scarves for gifts and have sold a few of them in the past. I've also made dish clothes as well as pot holders/hot pads in various sizes which make nice gifts for a new bride or someone in their first apt/home.

I've been crocheting as a hobby since college. I always need to be doing something with my hands, and crochet is perfect. I generally make the basics, afghans, scarfs and hats. I occasionally make crocheted gifts, usually baby blankets for close friends and family members. I'm currently about the start an afghan for my 3yr old, per her request.

I crochet when I'm not on mylot. At Christmas, everybody got a crocheted hat or scarf. Right now I'm working on two things -- a shawl and a tote bag. I've been working on small things, too -- like decorative refrigerator magnets, dishcloths and hair scrunchies. Eventually I want to sell my crocheted goods on the Internet and at craft fairs.
