trying not to offend anyone

i hope you have a great time on mylot. and remember, sometimes it may seem offensive but the poster did not mean it that way. it is difficult to hear the 'written' word. if offended count to 10, then go pschitzo!!

Hi Marilyn :)) I always hate getting to a discussion after my sister in crime (nova) has been in because she always takes the the words right out of my mouth.. Bless her Heart! You are bound to upset someone. Any time you get this many people and personalities in close proximity to each other, in a free open style forum, there are bound to be conflicts and misunderstandings. I have done it myself a thousand times in here. I try for the most part to shrug it off, but sometimes it dang well gets under my skin and I end up biting back. xBoy has a very good point also, in that the written word does not carry our intent all of the time. What might be honest teasing might come across as hostile. I have been guilty of this misunderstanding. We all have. Just pull up a chair relax and do exactly what you are doing.... Have fun.

Well, I don't call myself a christian, but a good friend insists that I'm much more christian than I'd like to let on. Listen, Marilynlynn, you've been great as far as I've seen and I don't get even the fist impression that you're judgmental in any way. You seem very open-minded and generous of spirit and what's better than that? You seem to be enjoying a lot of the silliness that goes on here and I don't see how you can go wrong with that kind of attitude. the people here are a really good bunch, some more opinionated than others, and if you don't want to jump in and do the debate thing, you don't have to. You can duck in, post a response, and duck back out. Or you can get into the fray and enjoy some real intense back and forth bantering. It's up to you. I, for one, love having you here and welcome you in any discussion I'm involved in. Geez, big of me, huh? lol But seriously, Marilynlynn, just have fun, ok? That's what the rest of us do. that's certainly what I do. :)

Why should they? I am a Christian too and let everyone know that if they choose to be offended their problem but so far everyone has been wonderful including people that have completely different beliefs or none at all. Don't think it is really an issue here, people can either choose to respond or not, get offended or not but in general they are all lovely from what I've seen so far and only been a member for four weeks.
