Has Crash made you feel better about mylot or do you have any misgivings?

Crash made me feel all warm and fuzzy and a valued user on this site. Why do I do that? I know people can't pick up on sarcasm in text yet I add it ALL the time. LOL No seriously, Crash did explain away a lot of the questions I had but I quit reading on page 7.

don't worry, i picked up on the sarcasm! it is a good attempt to placate members, but long overdue.

I have had no quarrel with myLot nor plan to ever. It is not like it is a public entity where they owe us anything. If anyone doesn't like the way myLot conducts its business, I should love to see them go try to set up a program anywhere near this good. The effort "Crash" is making to enlighten us is commendable in my opinion, however, and I am embarrassed to see some people acting like attack dogs trying to subvert its purpose. Also I do love the pig avatar! OINK!

I think this conversation on the part of Mylot was long overdue. I hope, but sadly I doubt that some of the myths that were posted by certain members again and again have been debunked such as that one person can get another person's discussion deleted. Frankly I was a bit tired of this. I was also satisfied that my theory was correct that certain discussions that included name calling showed up on the radar of a Mylot moderator because they have an algorithm running that determines the quality of the discussions. What disappointed me was his answer on the rating system. Personally I think it needs fixing. One of his answers will trigger a host of negative ratings. He says that if you see a discussions where the responses are off the topic, such as joking around and chit chatting without addressing the topic, just to rate these negative and move on without participating. I avoid those discussions and would not waste my time in rating. I think the proposed solution does not create a positive atmosphere in Mylot. Other than that all the questions I had were also asked and answered to my satisfaction. How about you?

in the whole it is a tremedously positive approach by mylot that has been WAY overdue. i look forward to seeing if we get any positive results from the discussion.

I didn't have misgivings to begin with but yes the addition of Crash is a good thing. That little piggy must be the one that built his house with bricks...no big bad wolves here!

Well, you know what they say, 'the road to hell is paved with good intentions'. I think they had good intentions here, but not terribly honest ones, and it was more of a placation than anything else. Like I said in another post, be good little puppies and we'll pat your heads, but they refuse to really pick up that bone. Maybe the technical questions were answered, but they weren't the ones that really meant anything to anyone. The thing is, though, if I were them, I'd probably stay far away too from the personal issues going on around here. Way too dicey and mucky. They're not going to be able to really please anyone. They didn't please me.

Well, i like Crash... he is very polite and did not really mind if some members were downright rude at him... his being cool about everything is enough proof that the people behind mylot are professionals who deals with rudeness professionally... so i have only respect for them... I hope Crash will be a regular thing... he can like participate in ordinary day to day discussions or create his own that has nothing to do with mylot... that would be very very nice...

Crash made me feel better about mylot.com. It is a great guide at the site. I think it was a necessity we were feeling its absence. Now we can ask any question relating to mylot.com. Some time we do wrong and we get punishment. The crash could teach us the right way on the path of posting or starting the discussion. We should avoid violating the rules, terms and conditions. Unfortunate some of us do the negatives and this cause to cease the membership or sensor the material. We were missing the crash and now we got him to keep our self on the track.

OH yea I feel so much better.. without him I would be lost.. the world make so much sense now. For those who can't understand sarcasim.. please disreguard the top sentence. Seriously though, no, in fact him being here has further proven how screwed up this site is. He gave a bunch of BS answers to some really important questions. Frankly nothing he said was the slightest big helpful and it just seemed like all they want is for people to shut up and pretend the site is awesome.. guess what.. it ain't. Half of their rules and guidelines contridict themselves, and so do most of his answers to a lot of the questions people asked. Frankly I doubt they will do anything to make this site better, at this rate by the summer it will be 3 times worse then it is now.

well, at least there is at least one real person of myLot internal whom we can interact with, but I feel that 48 hours is still not enough. I believe a lot of myLot users still want to ask more questions to Crash.
