Would you rather be told that you are beautiful or hot???

There are those times when we are staring into each others eyes and he says in the most sincere way "God, you are so beautiful." It just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, because the meaning isn't just what is on the outside but what is on the inside too. He thinks my personality is beautiful as well. Then there are times when I do something silly, or goofy and he tells me how "Cute" I am....I know I am full of cuteness, and I love that he finds my dorkiness cute. Then there are times when I am dressed in something sexy or even just plain clothes and he looks at me and grabs me into a tight hug, and tells me "Oh my god, you are so HOTTT." usually though mildly gritted teeth...and that just makes me blush and want to tear his clothes off! So for each thing there is a time and place. My husband thinks I am beautiful, cute and hot! I love it all...because he loves me and I love him.

I would prefer to be called beautiful. Usually I am referred to as 'cute'. Gosh, I hate that word. I have heard it my whole life, 'your soooo cute'. Gag. Babies are cute, kittens are cute, well, you get my meaning.

i know that i am not hot as i get into trouble when i think in this manner. i get a lot of compliments from my wife's relatives too..they say that they are always glad to see me and want to know when i will be coming to visit them in the Philippines..once my wife said that she is jealous that the neices and cousins ask for me and not her..i just smile and pretend that it is not true..but it is always nice to be appreciated..as well you know..that is why i am grateful for any favor granted.

Beautiful seems more loving, hot seems so lustful. *shrugs* That's how I see it.

I simply love it when my boyfriend calls me beautiful. but the irony is that he even calls me hot which tickles my tummy as well. So, I really can't choose among two. but apart from him I would definately prefer to be told that I am beautiful rather than hot. That's what I think.

If someone calls me either, I take it as a compliment. But I can see where hot can be taken the wrong way. LOL Here's a good one for you, just for laughs. LOL My husband and I were driving to his job one day. It was over 100 degrees outside and we saw a guy walking down the street. My husband said "That guy's HOT!" I busted up laughing so hard, he asked me why I was laughing, which just made me laugh more. LOL Once he thought about what he said he got the joke. LOL He certainly didn't mean it the way it sounded to me, but rather that the poor guy looked miserable walking in the heat. :P

Both work for me. If I am just sitting around in my sweats with my hair back in a ponytail and my honey just stares at me and tells me that I am so beautiful it really makes me feel good. But if we are going out to a club or something and I am dressed for that occasion to look attractive and he tells me that I am hot I take that compliment too because it lets me know he appreciates the look I was going for.

I'm with Cynical on this one. I want to be both. My husband tells me I'm beautiful all the time and I love it. I eat it up. But when he gives me that look that says I'm hot, I eat that one up too. I hear both from friends, bless their hearts and I don't think I could choose which one I prefer. They have a way of making me feel great, either way. I'm just grateful that I hear them at all.

I think that I would perfer being called beautiful over hot anyday because hot sounds cheap. Versus Beautiful is way more classy and seeing that I am a very classy indivdual I would love to her that I am beautiful. You look hot is like what you said saying I can't wait to undress you baby. You have a very good husband because he recongnizes all the beauty that you have within and not every man can see that their wives is not only beautiful on the outside but they also have beauty with in.

I'd surely love to be told that I am beautiful... especially if my hubby would stress that I am beautiful inside out. Being hot doesn't only mean that he wanna do it with you. When told in a nice way and in the right setting, it would mean good thing but nevertheless, who would want to be told that you are hot if being beautiful would already mean everything, right?

Definately Beautiful! But like others have stated, being called hot under certain circumstances makes you feel sexy and "up" with the competition ; ) And Congrats on having such a sweet sweet hubby!

I would most definitely rather be called beautiful! I feel as if hotness can fade over time, and it also just talks about the outside, whereas being beautiful is about all aspects, and true beauty never fades!

i think i would definitely want to be called beautiful too. Hot seems more of a only looks compliment, when my BF calls me beautiful i know he means that i'm beautiful inside and out, that he loves everything about me :)

Sounds like you have a very loving husband. I would prefer to be beautiful than hot. Beautiful first of all carries much more class. To be beautiful, it comes not just from the outside but from the inside. It doesn't mean make-up and all the fineries. It means the kind of person that you are. "Hot" on the other hand depicts sexy, which usually is more in the way you carry yourself physically, the hair, the adornments and is not as eternal.
