Wow, I got a PM today from a person that requested my friendship and I accepted. Here is a copy of it: hello there my friend ivandcruz (905) 4 hours ago well it is good to see you here. i think i have added you a week ago. anyways, hope that you will be active in my discussions. and i will try to see your discussions. thanks for addding me. Now I really think this is so sweet. He actually thanked me in a pm, for accepting him. I have to admit I have never sent anyone of my friends a pm thanking them for accepting my friendship after I requested them. I like this and I will try to find the time to do the same. Have you ever received a pm thanking you? Have you ever sent someone one thanking them?

Oh, i think this is so good of the person, because its very educated. But I'm in this for just 5 hours, i think, and I dont add very people, but I usually thanks the person for accept me, i think its nice. But few people do that..

yes i have and it is really a lovely gesture. sadly after a month or two of reading my purile scribblings they send me an abusive PM saying goodbye! (only kidding lol!)

It's been awhile but yes, I have received a pm thanking me for joining the member's friend list. I also have sent a pm to members who have joined my list of friends. I don't do this on a regular basis since most often I don't think about it. I can tell you that I'm always flattered when I am asked to be on someone's list and make every attempt to answer their discussions. I don't always have enough hours in the day to respond to all discussions started by my friends. Also, I haven't refused anyone to join my list.

I requested someone then sent them a PM apologizing for not accepting them when they asked me to be their friend. I keep my friends here to a minimum and go on monthly deleting sprees on people who are not actively posting comments or discussions. I did receive one though from a woman I sent a request to tell me that I made her day. She was just giddy with laughter that cynicalandoutspoken wanted to be her friend. It was so cute.
