KDE vs Gnome, which is the best??? your opinion!

What is the destop environment that you prefer, kde or gnome. As I'm openSUSE user, and istalled both desktop environment, so It's hard for me to give my opinion wich is the best... but I think I prefer KDE, but in gnome, I can have thumbnail works with image and video file, instead of just displaying the icon in KDE. Both have strengths and weaknesses. State your opinion! And continue to use linux!

what distro that u have in ur laptop? I also use openSUSE, and it's really2 good since I can have both kde+gnome in singe OS.

they said 512mb ram, but many said that it even run on 256mb perfectly, since it can manage memory from swap drive. For compiz fusion u need additional 80mb to consume ;)

Both are great and both have their advantages. I am currently running Kubuntu 7.1 so, therefore, I am using KDE. I guess I just go with what I am comfortable with at the moment. I know many Linux users who love and recommend Synaptic, but I am comfortable with the Adept manager. I like KDE and I enjoy using a Linux OS. A very powerful tool indeed.

okay, I know about PCLinuxOS, it has the highest Page Hit Ranking on distrowatch, but it looks like the hit is dropping...any idea?

I am using debian with Gnome 2.18.I've used SLED 10 long time back with KDE.I think both are better and for a Windows user,KDE will be better and similar to use.For me,I like the usability of GNOME.
