Dedicated to all windows users...why you wanna use windows so badly??? Why waste your money to pay microsoft? Why you have to become a thief by using pirated software??? Anyway, my suggestion is, leave the windows and use linux. I myself had migrated from Windows Vista (I use Ultimate) to openSUSE 10.3. and openSUSE 10.3 does really2 rocks!

The amount of the somputer programs avaiable for Windows is huge. You cannot compare with other operating Systems. I never buy my software, I can always can find an alternative freeware that will suite my needs completely. With latest spread of the portable programs it became even more simple. Definitely, Linux has its own advantages, but I doubt that it ever capture a comparable market share.

Unfortunately, Linux doesn't have the third-party support that Windows has. Sure, the average user won't ever know that OpenOffice only supports ninety-something colors, but what about the gamer? There's nothing out there for Linux!
Worse, Linux just doesn't have the driver support. I have copies of DreamLinux, Mandriva, Ubuntu, Mint, PCLinuxOS, openSUSE, MEPIS, CentOS, Fedora, FreeSBIE, and Bluewhite64 in one of my desktop drawers. Only three distros would actually boot on my AMD64 laptop, and none of them could get online. PCLinuxOS was the only one that recognized my WiFi, and supposedly connected to the network, but would it load pages in the browser? No.
Then there's the issue of skill on the part of the programmer. Say what you like about how charitable these open source programmers are, but the ugly truth is that virtually none of them are any match for the seasoned software engineers who study throughout their waking hours for years to get a job at Microsoft, where the money is. The Linux kernel has an issue with USB devices, and will dismount them when it cannot handle the strain. From what I understand, all distros have this problem. I've encountered it myself on Ubuntu, Mandriva, and Mint; and I understand that Mac OS-X (BSD kernel) has a similar problem.
If you use a USB mouse, or run portable applications from a USB drive, they will suddenly stop responding. And the first time it happens, it's like giving a Pit Bull its first taste of blood. It won't stop after that. Windows is the only platform that can handle heavy strain on USB. I've brought this up in the Ubuntu and Mandriva forums, and e-mailed Linux Mint. I got my response from Clement Lefebvre himself, and he was aware of the problem but didn't know how to fix it. :(
You're not the first Linux user who thought he knew something that could save the world, and you won't be the last. Linux has been around for 17 years, and a lot more people have heard of it than you think. Problem is, it's nowhere near where it needs to be in order to take on Big Red, or even Apple. I'm glad it's working for you, but it won't work for the masses.

thanks for the reply. yup you are right. i do respect your believe, and the fact, because there's reason people to use windows, linux, or os x, which suite their needs.

why pay?coz Windows easy to use, stable, but not scure enought :))
i had already try the bbigest linux distro but i'm veri disapointed...linux doesnt have a stable GUI developer,
KDEVELOP = always crash when compiling program (Mandrake Powerpack, Novel Suse, Open suse 10.2)...
Multimedia Player??no one stable except RealPlayer (Not LInux Family)
Why wasting time for unstable application???
I love Windows with delphi, opera browser, and openOffice....
But i like Linux on server..very stable but not in desktop...

Linux does rock but only if you have the patience to set it up how you want it , for the average user (downloads/you tube/etc) windows will do! if you live, breathe, eat and sleep computers then linux is the solution, for me it seems a bit pointless to stick with one OS because I have to edit programs/scripts etc on Mac and PC on windows NT vista and xp. I like OS X because mainly its an aesthetic thing, but to me it is less annoying than xp or vista.I'm trying my best to be a computer 'generalist' so you can plonk me down in front any machine and I can (hopefully) use it.

i use window's and linux both and i realise linux is very supportive on net . The best thing is that is virus protected there is no need of antivirus becous .exe file is exicute automaticale in linux but is not user friendly like window's
Now you decide where you want to do work
