Ok so I'm a die hard Harry Potter fan, but I haven't read the 7th book for 2 reasons. 1)I'm a busy college student and just haven't had time. and 2)Everyone tells me that i'll be dissapointed in it if I do read it. Will it ruin the experience if I read it? Anyone read it already?

I don't think you will be dissappointed in reading book 7... no matter what others may say... judge for yourself... i already read the Deathly Hallows 3 times... and i can't get enough of it... surely there are flaws... and reading the epilogue made me want for more... but i think it is the ending that everybody did not expect...

Everybody expected the ending.
*spoilers*
Harry potter wins over evil. Check.
Harry potter gets married to Ginny. Check.
Ron marries Hermoine. Check.
It was all so painfully obvious that it would happen that way. I mean she COULD have had Harry lose, but that would upset tons of fans and lose out on people who buy the weeks after it comes out.

Well, I think you're going to LOVE Book 7. I know I did! It's TOTALLY different from all the others in so many ways. I don't want to say too much for fear of giving away too many clues, but you've just GOT to read it! It did an excellent job wrapping up the entire series - JK Rowling is just brilliant!

I have to agree with everyone else, you've missed out by not reading the last book. I'm in love with the books, although I feel the movies don't live up to the books, I could not have gone without reading it.
You should get the book and try and read a chapter a day. I believe it's the longest, but, it's also the best because you learn where everything ends up. Parts of it were sad, but that comes with a lot of books. I've read it twice, and I must say though, that after I read it, I lost interest in going and reading the others because you know how it all ends and then you don't know why you need to. Replying to this discussion though made me realize I need to go back and read them all again, just for fun.
I hope you decide to read the book, it has many surprises, but it's awesome.

hey.. am a die hard fan too but this book dissapointed me too in several areas... i've been livin its adventure n element of surprise evrytime in evry book but this book had a quite obvious ending n left many questions unanswred... like whre did kreacher go in the end n how did the gryffindor sword reach hogwarts without any explanation? moreover the horcruxes wre ridden off in quite a hurry by the author..

I would read it. It puts closure on the series and you find out a huge amount of backstory on Dumbledore. Although the ending will leave you wanting more if your a die hard fan.

Hmmm I think the 7th book is a bit different than the other 6. In this book all the story lines come to once and you get the answers of almost everything. I really liked the book and dont think you get disappointed. The only thing I didnt like on the book was the end. I mean the real end. It was just so expected.

Personally I thought it was a great book and you should definatly buy it. The only problem I can find with it is you might get addicted and read on time you don't have.

You will really love that book. Though at some places you will feel that it could be elaborated, in general it is a real good book and gives loads of entertainment. You wont ruin the experience. I have read it twice and I really enjoyed it both the times.
