when is a good age to talk to your children about drugs and alcohol?

my daughter is going to be 7 years old soon and she knows that she shouldnt touch them, but when should i get into detail?

When she starts asking. Or, show her pamphlets in a couple of years there is really no too early time to start. My daughter is 10 and we have had a few talks, some she has started others from reading information from doctors surgerys etc.... she asks questions as we go along.
