No country for old men

hey, I guess a lot of you have seen this movie already. I jsut finished watching it and I need help...... what the heck is the ending about? It just stopped suddenly with the sheriff in the kitchen..... I don't get this at all........ fill me in please!

Yeah I was kind of surprised, it was a very abrupt ending. A very good movie though.
