On January 15 my money made here at Mylot was sent to Paypal but I seem to be having some problems receiving the money. I live here in Jamaica, West Indies, I dont own a credit card and the bank I have joined is a Credit Union and one of Jamaica's National Commercial Bank. I would appreciate it if someone could give me some advice as to what I need to do to receive my pay.
I was told by a coworker that I needed a credit card, is this really so? and if so, which one do I need to get? Is there another way to receive my money without going the credit card route? Please advise. Thanks.

I would suggest you call PayPal or email them. Believe they are located in Nebraska in the US. Go to their site and see if they have a "help" page or someone you can contact directly.
The first payment from myLot was sent to my bank, I withdrew it from my PayPal account and transferred it to my bank account. It can be done from myLot's account page. I can send you the way I did it and it worked. This was the first time I had received money through PayPal and it worked fine.
Hope you get the problem resolved,

Well I don't know anything about the country you live in but I do know quite a bit about paypal. Do you have your bank account with either the credit union or the other one, attached to your paypal account? If not this is what you need to do and then when you request your money they deposit it into your bank account. You don't need to add a credit card to your account if you have added your bank account to it. All you have to do is hit the verify or the add a band account links in the paypal site and enter your bank account information. It will direct you to what it is they need to know, like your bank account number and branch number and the name of your bank. That type of thing. then they will deposit a few pennies into your account and when you know how much it is you enter this amount into your paypal account and then they will know it is really you and really your bank account. Done. Then you just request your money and they transfer it into your bank account.

No, you shouldn't need a credit card if you have a Current or Checking account. You need to validate your account with PayPal by entering your bank details on your account page. They will deposit two small sums (less than $1 each) in your account. You then check your statement and enter those two amounts where it says. That will tell PayPal that that account is the one that belongs to you and the one where the funds will be transferred.
Do read PayPal's list of charges. They usually make a small charge for transferring amounts less than £25/$50 to a bank account.
