What has the meaning of romance come down too ?

Just wanted to ask you mylotters what you thought about what the valur of romance has come down, for me personally as a product of the 21st Century i think that it isnt about the how sweet romantic gesturers a man or woman can do do for their partner but how much money they spend on their partner to make them happy.
What do you guys think ??
