Have you ever won anything in a competition before?

I am curious to see how many people here on mylot have won prizes in any competition before. Maybe you have won a prize in a magazine, raffle, prize home etc???? THe most I have won is hamper packages from a $1 raffle ticket. I am hoping to win a new car, I bought 2 tickets yesterday from shopping centre that was promoting competition. I also enter regular competitions from THat's Life Magazine. No luck yet!!! Anyone lucky here???

I have won many things but those were mainly real competitions like quiz competitions, sports competitions and academic competitions. I have also won presidential award and different types of merit scholarships. Even now, I am doing my doctorate with a merit scholarship that I won in a nationwide competition.

i have won £25 and £50 on scratch cards, but have always tried those in mags like thats life,ok,and others but never won anything really-but on sweepstakes i'm forever winning only with them you have to send a fee for post and pack so i have never bothered-my daughter is the one who wins quite frequently!-littleowl

Fifty pounds is not a bad win. I am still waiting to win on magazine competitions, I got hope after a friend of mine said she has one quite a few crossword competitions from that's Life magazine. Your daughter sounds like a very lucky lady, maybe she should put regular gold lotto in and try and win the million dollars. Thanks for your reply, best of luck, always.

Two years back after buying triumph products over $100 in a shopping mall, customer was given a chance to draw a number from a lucky dip. At the beginning I felt quite reluctant to try it as I always believed that I was not that type of lucky person. But the salesgirl insisted me to try my luck so I simply pick a number out and passed it to her. To my astonishment I never expected to have won a brand new stand fan!

i consider myself as not so lucky person... i only had win once during a lucky draw which i won a toaster... huhu.. guess im not so lucky enough...

I was a cashier at Target for a while, and we had to try to get people to sign up for Visa cards, for which we received prizes if the got enough of them to try it in one shift...
I won a leather racing jacket, a bicycle, several sets of silverware and pots and pans, a couple of coleman camping stoves, a lantern, some cups and a couple of shirts...
