Well, whoever gods were involved, I think zeus left it for someone's curiosity to unravel.
Even though all such things came out of the box, the last thing that had been freed from it was "hope"
I don't know much about it but in (Greek?) mythology Pandora opened it and released all the bad that is known here on Earth. Things like dispair, hurt, diseases. All the bad stuff.
Now a pandoras box is something that has no good possible outcome.
Yea I believe it has already been opened. I don't know what mythology says about it being opened again or anything. But I know there have been some movies that deal the the issue.
