how would you rate the new macbook air that has been introduce months ago, manny bloggers talk about it hoping that apple will send a mcbook for them to test just, like acers ferrari laptop did, bloggers offten become a chanel for promotion, would bloggers increase sale for apple just by blogging the product or would it be the downfall.

I think the macbook air looks awesome. I saw it the Apple store and I was surprised when I picked it up and felt how light it was. The aluminum case is really nice too, it makes it look sleek. The only part I don't like about it is that it doesn't have an optical drive... and it's expensive.

I think it's one beautiful piece of machinery. Like others have said, the only drawback is the fact that it doesn't have an optical drive, but I guess that's the sacrifice that had to be made in order to create the worlds thinnest notebook. There is however, an optional SuperDrive that can be connected to the MacBook Air via a USB cable if you really need one. Or I suppose you could just stick with a regular MacBook if the lack of an internal optical drive really bothers you. As for an increase in sale from bloggers, I guess it's dependent on how popular the blogs are.

I've seen the Macbook Air and loved it! it's so slim and sleek..very beautiful. Cant get over its slimness. But it doesn't come with an optical drive so that's one of the drawback I think..coz I would like to have my own cd-rom drive. although it's an advantage for apple in a way..

I think that Apple has a list of those that might get a Macbook Air to test. If you are not on that list, you're out of luck. I don't think that bloggers would dramatically increase sales. I think that it is a fantastic design but I do not like the absence of an optical drive. People have complained that it's a Macbook spec but Macbook Pro costs. Well new designs cost to develop and manufacturers need to recoup those costs. I am a Mac convert and cannot imagine going back to a PC. However, I bet we'll see something thin from Sony before too long.
