A few years ago when I first started using the internet, I used to be a member of a software club that let you test new software like games, pc apps, etc, but it disappeared pretty quickly. Does anyone know of any programs out there that let you test software and either get paid for it or earn software or other things?

Hi LadyT1208,
What you describe sounds very attractive indeed. I've not seen any beta-testing arrangement that actually pays testers, although there's lots of public beta testing going on with open-source software development.
The growth of open-source software might have been a factor in the demise of any reward schemes for beta-testing. With so many willing participants available, a developer might have little reason to offer payment or other incentives for beta testing.
If you do find any existing reward programs for beta testing, please do let us know about them. Software beta testing is probably not for everyone, but no doubt a lot of people would be happy to do it if there's some sort of recompense involved.
