Do you get an early start on buying/making presents for friends and family? Or do you end up doing last minute shopping?

I generally wind up doing a lot of my shopping at the last minute, but since I recently got married, I now have a bunch of relatives who live across the country, and the parcel has to be in the mail by the end of November. So it looks like I will be doing more of my shopping early this year.

I just moved, so I understand. I'm really going to have to push myself to get those gifts out early.

I usually start right after Thanksgiving. I have never been out for Black Friday but I think I might go out this year. We pick names in my family. So I only have to get presents for one family member, my fiance and my baby. I don't think I am doing friends this year or I might make something for them.

I've never been shopping on Black Friday. I know there are fantastic deals, but I can't imagine dealing with the crowds.

I try to start as early as possible. I hate the crowds when it gets close to christmas, plus I'd rather spend the holidays with my family than with a bunch of pushing, shoving people in a crowded store.

I usually try and start after thanksgiving, but it seems like that never happens and I am usually one of those people that are out the day before christmas to finish up my shopping.
