Have you ever been walking along, looked down and found something interesting? I remember several years ago at Christmas time, I went into a convenience store and spent the last of my money on whatever purchase I made. When I came out, I thought I saw a dollar bill laying in the parking lot. That dollar bill turned out to be 5, 100 dollar bills. No wallet, just $500 laying in the parking lot. Needless to say, my Christmas was all the much brighter. What is the most interesting thing you have ever found?

Perhaps the largest and most valuable thing I have found was the sum of 500 dollars while on vacation a few years ago. My family and I were walking through a park in Washington, DC late in the afternoon. There were no other people in site. I just happened to look down at one point and saw a wad of cash. I picked it up and looked all around. There were no people within site. I leafed through the wad and it was 500 dollars. Another time I was at the beach and was absent-mindedly digging in the sand with my toes as I sat in a beach chair. I felt something hard and bent down to see what it was. It was a gorgeous ring. I don't know if it is real or costume, but I get many compiments on it!

I think an old lady who lost her $500 in a carpark several years ago is still searching around for her money....LOL. She must be feeling very tired by now.
About two years ago, while my wife and I were walking in a park, we came across a $50 bill near some bushes. My wife insisted that since it didn't belong to us but no one will claim it, we will put it in the offering bag at church, and that was what we did. Our church was being redeveloped and we were raising money to support the redevelopment, so the money was used for a good cause.

Gosh that was very admirable of you. I wish I could boast the same, but obviously I can't.

Sometimes when we find just a little bit of change in the parking lot we like to think of it as an omen of good things to come so it is a happy thing even if the amount is small, but in your case, that was like a little pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Marvelous! I wish you many more such finds!
Once when we had unexpected guests to entertain before I was scheduled to take a trip, so on the way to the airport we stopped at a lovely and quite deserted California beach to visit and relax a bit. Shortly before we had to leave I glanced, out of habit at my wrist to see the time and then remembered my watch had broken and I had forgotten to buy a new one to wear to the airport. One of our visitors said, "Just a minute!" and walked back to the water, bent over to pick something up, and came back with a lovely ladies watch in just my size. It was damp but ticking and I wore it for about 5 years until PDA's came along and made wristwatches somewhat obsolete in my book. I've never seen another one quite like it, though, and still find the circumstances behind my having obtained it to be quite unusual.

Oh that was a nice Christmas gift. One day, i was going to the store which was right across the street from me. Well, i just so happen to look down as i was walking in and saw a wallet. Now mind you, i was young at the time, i believe 16, anyway i didn't take it right away because there were several people in the store and i wanted to see if anyone would realize they lost their wallet. The store emptied out and the wallet was still there so i picked it up and inside the wallet were id cards, credit cards and, oh yes, $250. I was so excited for that was my first time ever finding that much money. I mailed her id and credit cards though.

I can't blame you. Many people would keep the money, but it was nice of you at least to send back the id and credit card.

Being a shy person, I have always walked looking down to the ground and so I have found many, many treasures over the years. None have been as fortunate as yours! Now that was lucky! I have found 20.00 and lots of change, jewlery and things like that.
