Last year for valentines day my significant other bought me this medical case for our new baby that I had been wanting. I thought it was very nice but I was a little disappointed because it really wasn't for me and I guess I hoped that it would be a little more romantic. Well he came home yesterday with a dozen roses and a box of chocolate covered strawberries. I thought that was so sweet of him. I love chocolate covered strawberries. Does your significant other get you romantic gifts for valentines day? I always try to be romantic when I buy valentine gifts for my s/o. Happy Valentine's Day.

I am not what you would call a romantic person. I like to get gifts that help make my life a litte easier. I like to get cookwear and cookbooks. This year for Valentines day we agreed not to buy each other a gift and get a movie that we both like that is a little on the expensive side. My wedding anniversary is also on this date as well. So he surprised me with flowers and a dinner at a very expensive restaurant. The food was great there though. I have a great evening and this is actually the first aniversary dinner we have had alone since my daughter was little. It was a great gift for me.
I am glad that you got what you wanted for valentine's day as well as a little romance. Once the kids come along the romance is far and few in between.

Your right with that one "Its the thought that counts" All though sometime you just wish they hadn't lol. Sounds like you had a really good Valentines Day, I love chocolate covered strawberries too, my husband had already bought me Tulips a few days earlier but then I got 1 Red roses sent to my work with 1 red chocolate rose, the card read 1 red rose means I love you, I thought that was romantic for my husband. Have a great day!

have a great time...and i do make it a point that whatever gift i am taking to her....i will not see whether it is costly or other than that but what matters most is that whether she has a liking towards that thing or not...
I dont think anything else matters more than that...

DH and I agreed not to spend money on cards and gifts this year, since we just recently returned from a vacation... and we're off on another one in 2 months. Well, I kept my end of the bargain! He gave me a little hibiscus plant, some candy, and a card.
One of the best gifts DH ever gave me was a metal kitchen trashcan. I found it "romantic" that he was actually listening to me every time I griped about the old plastic one that kept falling apart.
Okay, so maybe I have a little different idea of "romance"... but I'm not really a jewelry and flowers kind of girl.

My husband is so much more romantic than I, so yeah, he does the best he can. I would love to have chocolate covered strawberries, I will have to mention it to him for next year..
This year I got a white teddy bear and he wrote on each paw.
paw 1:your
paw 2:bear
paw 3: 4
paw 4: ever
And the the fourth paw where he wrote ever, there is a red heart..
And of course some peanut M&M's to go along with it..Yummy..:P
