When you listen to music what do you here? Do you here the music with the tune of the song, or do you listen to what the artist is saying in the lyrics?
I ask because I have just listened to a song that I have listened to a million times but I have never really heard what they were saying. And now that I have the song makes a little more sense.

When I listen to music whether I'm sitting at my computer or dancing in the living room with the kids I always listen to the words and sing along with it. Force of habit after spending approx. 6 yr in choir. LOL!! have a nice night.

I totally listen to music, words, the beat. I've listened to some songs over and over and over, especially when I am breaking up with someone. But if I am stuck, and cannot get myself to cry and debileratly listen to music that brings me back to a certain place and time, in my minds eye, in order for me to feel better, I know I need to cry hence that music. Then if I happen to be stuck and depressed and cannot get out I'll listen to music that has a nice beat and is danceable it will lift my spirit and it makes me feel happy.
