Does anyone else watch this?

I love Ghost Hunters on SciFi. I like Ghost Hunters: International but, not as much as the original. I like the chemistry of the cast of the original. Jay and Grant make a great team and, when they goof off, I love it! Brian Harnois (sp) bugs me. I thought they finally gave him the boot after he was hardly on last season but, now I see why. He was on International. He seems even more bitter on International than he ever did on the original. One thing I love about the Ghost Hunters is that they really do try to debunk "hauntings" and are really tentative about labeling a place "haunted". And, they don't sensationalize the paranormal happenings by catering to "Psychics" who have out-of-body experiences. I feel like it lends them more credibility. I can't remember what channel it is on but, there is a new show called Paranormal State. It plays 2 new episodes back to back and after its very first new episode, I gave up on it. They did Seances (sorry for the spelling) and just tried to make it too creepy by using a synthesizer (or something) to make the narration all weird. A clear cut case of Sensationalizing. The Paranormal is sensational enough without resorting to parlor tricks to spice it up. It doesn't need seasoning. Let the evidence do the talking. That is exactly what Ghost Hunters does and exactly why I like them. They serve their dish with just the perfect amount of spice and heat and don't over do it!

Sorry this is so late! I didn't get an email message telling me you responded again! Ugh! Anyway, I didn't like how Heather and that other girl were acting towards that guy either. They really ticked me off. I love the TAPS team but, those two really showed a bad side of the team. They didn't represent them that well. They seemed so bitter and b!tchy towards that guy. He took it well though. And, that is funny that people were pressing the panic button because of them! LOL!

I too am a Gosht Hunters fan. I have always loved anything to do with the paranormal and find is fascinating. I really like the fact of their debunking things that they are told and come across on an investigation. I am a firm believer in spirits and have had many experiences in my own home. I have actually used some of thier techniques and so forth in trying to debunk the activity in my house. I know it sounds crazy but, it is true.

I love that whole debunking thing about Ghost Hunters. It gives them more credibility. I also like that they don't use Psychics to try to channel spirits. I lived my teens in a house with some spirits. My parents still live there and when I visit, I still have experiences with those spirits. That's cool about you using their techniques to debunk things in your house.

I would love to see that show. All that paranormal stuff is fascinating to me. I live way out in the country though and we don't have satellite television so I don't get the channels that have shows like that.

Yup, in fact, I'm watching old episodes right now before the new episode starts in about 15 minutes! :) It is a really wonderful show, though I haven't been able to get into the international version either.

Oh...so you got to see last night's new episode? I haven't seen it yet...I just mentioned that in the response from my other discussion about Ghost Hunters. I am looking forward to seeing last night's episode when I get home tonight! I hope it was good! But, don't tell me anything about it! I love to be surprised...even if it was an episode with little to no evidence! LOL!

I like Ghost Hunters too. It's the one show I feel like I can trust. Everything else seems fake with the psychics and mediums and demonologists. Ghost Hunters comes at the paranormal with a strong grounding in science and evidence rather than spiritual and emotional experiences that can't be proved. There are a very low number of cases that are actually "haunted" which is kind of disappointing, but it makes it worth it when I watch long enough to actually see the team label a case as Haunted. The team dynamic is great, although I got lost between seasons on Sci Fi channel with extras and interns coming in and out. The only thing that bugs me are the commercial cuts and the unnecessary suspense cuts only to find out that the team just saw a shadow or touched a spider web. Great show for skeptics and believers alike.

That is how I feel. I trust them more than that show "Most Haunted" or something like that where they go into almost automatic panic mode if someone breathes heavy and they have a psychic on hand that is always getting taken over by this spirit or that spirit. Knock it off! That is why Grant and Jay have probably the top rated paranormal show right now. They don't resort to cheap hyped parlor tricks and don't get all excited about orbs. It is a rare occasion that they will even talk about orbs on the show. I do get a little annoyed by the commercial break ending on something that seems like great evidence only to be nothing at all but, I don't get annoyed enough that I would ever stop watching. Did you see last week's with the intelligent voice? The woman who actually responded to them? That was crazy! And, you knew it had to be because they held onto until the reveal. They didn't even give us any sneak previews of it. I knew something massively special happened when they didn't even play a small hint of a clip of it until the actual reveal. That was so huge! I loved it!

I love all the supernatural shows.I have watched Paranormal State I believe it is on A&E channel...It was just ok like you said they seem to try to hard.I knwo they mean well but Ghost hunters is better.Ghost hunters seems to be more grown up in the way the deal and handle a haunting case...I love the show and watch it every chance I get...

Ghost Hunters does seem more grown up about their investigations. They work with the science end of it instead of they hyped show for show's sake part of it. Paranormal State used some weird synthesized narration technique which put it over the top as far as trying too hard.

I love this show, but only can watch it during the day cause it gives me the creeps. It's the only paranormal show I like, probably cause they try to debunk everything, and it seems more real that way. I also don't care for Brian either, he's such a whiner-and I can't believe someone had a baby with him recently-he is so ugly lol.

I like the fact that they go into alleged hauntings to debunk first too. I have seen other shows where the just automatically take every little bump or speck of dust/orb at face value and don't delve into it even a little bit to first make sure it can't be debunked. I guess that what they say is true...there is someone out there for everyone. LOL!
