Have you ever called your boyfriend or girlfriend by the wrong name?

I've been married three times and, quite frankly, I've done my share of dating. So, yeah, it happens frequently. My favorite response as "I'm sorry. I think you've gotten me confused with one of your other wh***s."

No, I've never called anyone I was with the wrong name. I did have it happen to me though. One guy I dated last year kept calling me by his old wife's name. He was a widower for more than a couple of years and he'd always call me her name by mistake. The first time, it didn't bother me because I knew that they had been married for many many years, and that he loved her totally. But after a few months of errors here and there, I had to question it in my mind. A few months is well enough to get it right! I believe this is what they call a Fruedian Slip...this person is so ingrained into the persons heart and soul that they can't help but still think of their 'other'. A one-time mistake is ok, but if it keeps happening you just have to wonder where they're coming from lol.

I have but not in the context that you would think of... I have done it when I speak of them in the past... this person or that person did this or that for me. I HAVE been with my wife and said 'remember the last time we were here... it was so romantic' and she responded with 'I've never been here before in my life much less with you'. Heh whoops.
