Do you make time for yourself?

Many of us are so busy with work, school and home life that often there is no time left over to do something you enjoy. Do you find time for yourself and if you do what do you spend that time doing?

You are sooooo correct kb...dust if you must...in the end one day we will all be dust..lol..love that dittie. Like everyone else I find myself short of personal time,I have now made it a policy to even if just for an hour take some special time for me.May take the pooches for a walk and sit in the park by the river,or just sit and listen to the birds waking up,love the early morning..and because I am a early riser I find this is a great opportunity for me to do what I wish to do.sometimes I will have a cuppa and sit in reflection,or I will come to mylot and join in a discussion.A little pampering goes a long way.

Yes, I am quite busy with work but as much as possible I always spent time for myself. A time for myself would be a time spent alone in a coffee shop just enjoying my favorite coffee or perhaps just spending an afternoon being alone enjoying nature. It could be sitting in the shoreline just listening to the waves of the sea and watching the sunset. Though its not very often that I do it, but once I do it, I am completely relieved of stress and other work related matter.

hi. I always have a special day to spare. I spare Saturday for myself and family. I usually read books, watch TV, and spend my time with the whole members of the family. :)

Great subject, and I remember it well, the days when I had barely a moment to breath. But now since my children have grown and I live alone. I find I have that time I so longed for. I am still very busy, do not get me wrong, but I think once you have experienced the life of go, go, go. When things slow down, you learn to appprecaite the time. I often spend my time here on the computer. But I will also sit with a good book, some nice music and read. I often have freinds and family over for a nice chat and coffee as well. So I have learned and to truely appreciate my time, and feel no guilt because I did not get everything I needed to get done , done.

As you know, I am at home doing the homemaker bit at present. I am fortunate in that I seem to have developed a routine that means that I manage to get time to do the chores, and leave myself with some me time. I spend more time than I should on MyLot, which has become something of an addiction. I tend to bumble about looking for posters that I know start interesting and challenging discussions, like yourself, and then try to write something in reply that does the original question justice. Much of the rest of my time is spent researching and writing my family history and I am co-authoring a local history book, so I have lots of excuses to sit in front of the computer. Otherwise it is cleaning, shopping, cooking, ironing (if I must) and acting as a bank for my daughter.

It's hard to make time for me because I'm always working or doing something for someone else. I enjoy doing things for everyone but once in a while I just want to relax in a bubble bath.
