does your cat scratch or bite you when they get annoyed?

The oldest of our cats does bite. I think this is because my husband who raised her liked her to do it as a kitten. But she does it hard and it leaves marks. I don't like it, and she isn't a kitten now. She does it when she is tired of being petted or doesn't like where or how I'm petting her. Well don't sit on my lap then, I tell her. She does not do this to my husband as hard but his hands can handle it more. He's an electrician. The other cat, who was originally mine, now both ours. She, when you pet her where she doesn't like at the moment, whallops you. Out of nowhere, rolled over on her belly, and sudddenly she thinks you're prey. They are crazy, but I couldn't and wouldn't get rid of them. Hope this eased your pain too. :) B

my cat do it too..the funny thing that my cat do to me when he wants to be petted is that he comes near my face and bite my nose..at first i did not understand his behavior and i use to come a bit annoyed and a bit angry too..you know a bite in my nose is not that pleasure..but now when i see him coming near me especially near my face i know exactly what he wants..now i m saving a lots of bites:)

One of my cats, Mimi, also does not care to be petted and will bite me. However, she will let me pet her briefly when she sits on my lap. My other cat, Columbus, loves to be petted, but not kissed overall, although he might accept one or two little kisses on his sweet face. And Waffles, another cat, loves to be petted, except on her back. She'll nip me one if I try to pet her there.

Its just his way of telling you he`s had enough, basically. Saying that, cats can do it for your attention, too! Very complex animals, cats. hehe.
