Update on My Friend

A few days ago I posted a dicussion asking if people would pray for a young friend of mine. He had went to the hospital after comming down with a bad stomache ache and throwing up blood. At the time, the people at the hospital had concluded that something was wrong with his liver, but they had not made an official diagnosis.
I am happy to report that all of his test results have come in and it appears that he will be fine. While doctors still are not sure exactly what caused the problem, they have concluded that the condition has been caught in time and is not serious as it can be treated. It seems that he was getting to much sugar in his body and his body was having trouble breaking it down. This was causeing him to have problems with his liver.
He is now on a diabetics diet to keep sugar levels in his body to a minimum. Thanks to everyone who prayed for my friend.

I'm glad to hear things ended up okay hopefully he sticks to the diet and never experiences this again!

Thank-you so much for the update, betsyraeduke. Wow--it must have been pretty scary for him and all those who care for him. I am so glad that he is going to be fine and they seem to have the problem under control. Hopefully the prayers helped and I will continue to do so until he is totally out of the woods and back to normal.

Wow, I didn't read your initial discussion but he must have been so scared, poor kid.
I'm glad that the condition is treatable, and that they caught it in good time. I'm sure also, that everybody here would like to join me in sending our very best wishes for a speedy recovery to this lad.
