What percent of your salary do you save every month regularly ?

Every body should appreciate the positive role of the saving habit for future . Do you save ? As a percentage of total salary how much do you save every month. If you don't mind would you please mention your age ?

me and my wife both r workin. sooooo we save around 60 p c of our earnings

Well, I pull 6% of my salary into a 401K. Other than that, the money goes toward bills and there's nothing left to put aside.

6% looks not good enough . Of course that will depend upon your estimation of fututure burden . But I do not follow what you mean by 'into a 401k'.

well i get paid twice a month sometimes 3 times and i save 50 out of each paycheck.

Two times , 3 time a month ! What type of job are you in ? Do you mean 50% or $50 ? If the formar it is great .

My husband recently got a raise and we'll be cutting off his benefits so I will be saving as much as we can each month. I haven't been able to put any into savings because we were barely making it each month. I currently have 2 savings accounts online that are earning about 5% interest! :)
