Certain scam or paid sites you do want to avoid...

This is my thing now in this day and age - making money on the internet. I have to say since 2008 it has expanded and grown. Why not? I'm happy with it. But then again it's just to watch out for certain sites that can lead you in the dust.
Take for instance Gomez Peer - sounds reasonable to install a software on your computer which takes up a lot of RAM and for one claims to pay you just for surfing the internet. Sounds interest doesn't it? Well here's the thing - there's a serious issue with this for one because the issue of activating members and those stuck in pending mode and for someone to say they will receive an email within 2 weeks - but then again it might not happen and the pending process stays longer - this is not a good source to go by. Another thing is the pay is very small don't expect a lot out of this even if you are an activated member or even if you did have referrals.
And another thing I know there's a big hype with PTC sites that pay just for you to click on email ads and of course you get paid much more by referring others - but then again did you know getting your money is a long wait? Very long wait indeed! Don't expect such a money within maybe 2 or 3 months who knows? Honestly I find those sites boring to use and a waste of time.
Another site I don't recommend is Cashcrate - oh yeah great thing you can earn there, but then again risking the fact you have to put your whole personal information and get calls from telemarketers - I don't need that hassle thank you very much. Why should I get paid for being interrupted and having to give so much details? Not my kind of thing.
Now if you ever get a message for someone that says join this site and you get a $100 for just signing up and you refer people - and you can't get that $100 for a 2 year waiting period? Don't even bother to join that - that's a scam.
Now there are many other sites to go off and say, even if there are certain websites that pay but then again are not safe or just a waste of time. It's better to choose sites that are safe, fun and something to use over and over again.
It is good always to read forums, articles on the internet regarding a paid site before joining it. If one says it is a scam and they have valuable proof then yes the better. But if someone calls something a scam and they don't have proof to back it up because they complain money earnings is small then that's not something to even pay attention about - as I've said before the more you refer people the more money you earn.
So then again be wise in which sites you join and choose. Be wise in putting your personal information on certain sites. Happy mylotting people!

Very interesting information darkangel! Thanks for sharing it with everyone here. :)
I did sign up to cashcrate some weeks ago, after another mylotter mentioned it on a discussion (their referral link was not included). They said that they make real money on there (this should have been my first clue to run away LOL). I did not know it was to fill out offers (which was something I wasn't interested in doing) and I had no idea it relied on referrals to make money, but I tried it anyway. After I found an offer I wanted to fill out I gave my information (no real name or address though as I was a bit weary) and continued on only to find out I had to fill out MORE offers! I couldn't believe this and went back to cashcrate to cancel my account. As far as me getting calls from telemarketers because of this site or their affiliates, I wouldn't know because I am on dial up! :P LOL

Wow you're on dialup? Whoa it's not common here nowadays. But yeah I hear where you're coming about cashcrate I too didn't like the fact of feeling out so many offers and so many different steps it just got scarier, scarier and scarier like I'm just giving out way too much information which I highly find uncomfortable to begin with.

Yep. I wish I had DSL or cable, but since I'm out in the sticks it isn't available yet. And I'm afraid it won't be for some years to come. :( I feel so alone! LOL Even my in-laws made the switch to DSL a few weeks ago...
I'm happy enough sticking with just mylot for now. Though this might change if I ever get a faster connection. :P

I totally agree with you on this that there are many sites that claim to be pay end up being a scam to begin with. So far this is the closest and safest site I would use is Mylot. Honestly I don't have to worry about anything because I could just type away with my thoughts and interests thanks to you.
