History is one of my passions. I love learning about the lives and thoughts of those who came before us and how it compares to how we live today. There is just something so fascinating about it all. On that note, my favorite time periods are the time periods between 1500-1912. I find these time periods to hold the most interesting events and occurances. I especially love English history surrounding this time span. What are some of your favorite time periods?

I love studying American history, especially the time period of the Old West. I used to be enthralled with Billy the Kid when I was younger. Even though he was an outlaw, and did many wrong things, he stood up against people that were being oppressive and controlling. I also enjoy studying about Native American culture. It's interesting learning about the different tribes and how their beliefs differ. My favorite tribes that I take the most interest in are the Anasazi, the Cheyenne and the Lakota. I hold alot of admiration for a people that that stand and fight for what they believe in at all costs.

I love history, the older the better. By the time you get to the "dark ages" I've pretty much lost interest, unless you cross the "pond" to the Americas. I really love the really ancient stuff, Minoan, Egyptian, pre-history. In the Americas I find the Anasazi really interesting and the Incan and pre-Incan in Peru.

I love history too sassy. My favorite time period is anything past the present. I can't choose one particular time period that I like the most because each one, through the generations, have their own interesting points. If I had to choose just one, I think it would have to be during and including the same years you chose. More specifically, from 1800 going backwards. I'm very nostalgic and find so many of the periods to be simply fascinating in regards to how people lived. Of course it goes much deeper than that, but how they lived, what they did for entertainment, their work lives, raising children, what they eat and how they prepared it. The conditions they lived under, the land, politics, , , it's all so interesting to me.

Oh definately, I am very interested in the daily lives of those of the past. However, I am not too much into the politics part. Although, I love the history of the kings and queens of the Medieval times...
